Laura (Tillie) Tohm, b. 25 September 1885  at Poland m. Jacob (Jake) Dirksen 28 April 1903 d. 10 June 1974 at Kern, California
Father: Daniel Tohm, b. 7 May 1860 at Zhitomir Parish, Poland, d. 16 March 1943 at New Westminster, British Columbia
Mother: Caroline Bittner, b. 25 September 1858 at Poland, d. 22 December 1944 at Duncan, British Columbia

Dirksen, Matilda- Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Mish Funeral Home, Shafter, for Matilda Dirksen, 91 of 425 West Marengo Ave, Shafter who died June 10 in a Bakersfield convalarium after a long illness.  Elder Daniel Dirksen of the Colton Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate with Elders Joe Marshall and D.D. Dirksen assisting.  Interment will follow in Shafter Memorial Park. Mrs. Dirksen was a native of Russia and had lived in Shafter 44 years.  Mrs. Dirksen was an active member of the Shafter Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Survivors include 2 sons, Dave of Santa Barbara, Daniel E. of Colton and Clifford of Fresno, 6 daughters, Minnie Zimmerman of Bakersfield, Katie Schapansky of Shafter, Eleanor Ehrhardt of Bakersfield, Laura Snider of Morro Bay, Dorothy Frazier of Ventura and Frances Davis of Riverside; 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 25 great, great grandchidren.  Pallbearers will be Sam Dirksen, Art Dirksen, Reuben Dirksen, Willard Neuman, Gideon Richert and Isaac Strauss.

MINNIE H. ZIMMERMAN, 85, of Tampa died Thursday. A native of Canada, she moved to Tampa six months ago from Bakersfield, Calif. She was a Seventh-day Adventist. She is survived by two sons, Jack L. of Tampa and Ronald L. Anderson of Redwood City, Calif.; a brother, Cliff Dirksen of Lake Isabella, Calif.; three sisters, Dorothy Frazier of Ventura, Calif., Francis Davis of Bakersfield and Eleanor Eubanks of Taft, Calif.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great- great grandchild. Richard L. Eubanks
October 9, 1921 - August 6, 2006
Richard was born in Taft, CA on October 9, 1921 to Erdie and Wilma Eubanks. He was raised in Maricopa, CA where he graduated high school. He received his AA degree from Taft College before enlisting in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the war he worked as a butcher and owned his own grocery store in Taft. He worked for several years at Taft College before retiring in 1986. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, walking and being outdoors. He was a great cook and loved to dance. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eileen; brothers, Erdie Jr. and Donald. He leaves behind his wife of almost 17 years, Eleanor; two sons, Richard and wife, Laney of Rosamond, Douglas and wife, Elena of Kingsburg; grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Erin, Andrew and wife, Clara, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Samantha, and Kylee; brother, Ted and wife, Eleanor; sister, Bettye and husband, Warren Sturla; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be between 2:00 and 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday August 9, at Doughty-Calhoun-O'Meara Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at Westside Cemetery, in Taft, on Thursday, August 10, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hoffmann Hospice Care of Bakersfield. Richard L.
